Why Give?

When you give to God, you not only give people the opportunity to trust Jesus for eternal life, but also:

  • Give people food, clean water, clothing and homes
  • Honor God
  • Draw closer to God
  • Bring joy into your life
  • Invite God to bless you
  • Become more like Jesus
  • Show yourself to be faithful
  • Fulfill God’s desire to make you generous

How to Give

The church accepts standard donations to the following funds or ministries:

  • General Fund
  • Building Fund
  • Compassion and Benevolence
  • International Ministries

We offer a variety of ways to give to WoodsEdge:

  1. Online – the surest and simplest way to give consistently is through online giving. You can setup recurring or one-time payments from your bank account or credit card. Consider giving through your bank account to avoid the credit card fees charged to the church.
  2. Cash or Check – Some prefer the physical act of placing their gift in the offering basket during a worship service. You can split a check between the funds and ministries above by making a note on the memo line. Cash can be placed in envelopes available at our information desk. If you miss the offering time during the service, you may place your gift in the drop box located at the Information Desk, mail it or bring it by the office during the week.
  3. Stock and Mutual Funds - Donating stocks and mutual funds - rather than the proceeds from their sale - avoids capital gains taxes.
  4. Trusts and/or Wills - Please consider WoodsEdge in your estate planning. In addition to blessing your heirs, consider how you can a gift would be a blessing to WoodsEdge.
